Truck Driver

Quik’s Farm Ltd, based in Chilliwack BC, is a family farm whose primary business is cut flower growing and processing. With over twenty acres of indoor and an additional thirty acres of seasonal outdoor growing space, the company prides itself in its unique vertical integration within the floriculture sector. Quik’s Farm is geared towards the intense production of cut Chrysanthemums, Oriental Lilies, Alstroemeria, Lisianthus, Sunflowers, and other seasonal crops utilizing state-of-the-art growing systems and leading-edge technology to produce high quality products for our diverse customer base across North America. We are currently seeking a full-time truck driver based out of our Chilliwack locations. This position offers you an opportunity to join a dynamic team environment.

Work Hours:

  • Long haul runs to Alberta
  • Local runs to Vancouver
  • Local deliveries between business locations

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Truck inspection – check oil/antifreeze/windshield washer/fuel reefer + truck/lights/tires/brakes, etc.
  • Completion of logbooks and inspection reports.
  • Phone calls and texting must be answered in a timely fashion – Bluetooth in truck.
  • Report if any major weather/traffic problems so that customers can be made aware of delays.
  • Ensure vehicles are always kept clean and is inspected after the trip for any irregularities.
  • Maintenance support for small repairs is considered an asset.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Class 1 License with mountain experience (preferably with reefer experience)
  • Valid air brake endorsement.
  • Must be able to maneuver and reverse a semi-trailer well in narrow spaces.
  • Solid time-management and organizational skills
  • A clean drivers’ abstract.

Benefits:

  • Cell phone compensation
  • Monthly performance-based bonuses of $50.00 if the truck is maintained well.
  • Overnight stay $50.00 per night
  • Starting Pay: $30.00 per hour

This position may require you to work on Saturdays and statutory holidays.
